The stress of picking out a pool builder was incredible. Meeting with 3 contractors and searching out reviews was essential. When we met Paul from Tropic Pools, it was like a breath of fresh air. He explained the whole process from start to finish. He took us around to tile manufactures and gave us his opinion of 35 years experience. He was with us for every step of the pool build. His crews are so outstanding and very customer friendly. His price was inline with others but his hand holding throughout the process was incredible. Tropic Pools constructed our pool back in April of this year. We chose Tropic because Paul, the owner, had great design ideas and continually followed up with us regarding our design questions. Once construction started, Paul was here every day that a construction crew member was here. He made sure the job was done quickly and correctly. There were several pools in the subdivision started before ours but Tropic Pools finished weeks before them, a testament to there speed of delivery. It’s been 7+ months since our pool was completed and Paul still checks in to make sure we’re happy. I recommend Tropic Pools over anyone for speed of delivery, cost, quality, and customer service. Thank you for the great pool Paul!

Having never built a pool before I relied heavily on Paul’s knowledge and expertise. He helped me build a one of a kind, custom pool and everyone who see it comments how beautiful it is. Very happy with our choice of Tropic Pools.

Paul assisted us in resurfacing, retiling redesigning our pool. He created a new design for us and also helped us with a deck remodel. We couldn’t be happier with the results and the timely manner which they were done! Paul helped with tile colors, coping and made it such an easy process. We recommend he and his crew highly!

Paul and his team did a wonderful job of remodeling and remodernizing our swimming pool and back yard. What made us decide to go with TPH was the great advice and recommendations that Paul gave us during the initial consultations. He comments always made sense and he has very pragmatic and efficient approach to the work. His work planning was very impressive and the teams were organized, skilled and tidy. Overall a great job! Did an excellent job building in ground pool, decking, and equipment installation

Paul helped us Re do our plaster and tile for our pool and hot tub. He was very knowledgeable and did good work on time. We are very happy with our final product and would recommend him!

I had a 40 year old pool that had never been re-surfaced or refinished. Discovered Tropic Pools through Angie’s List and could tell after meeting owner-operator for an estimate that he has great experience in the business and took pride in the work he and his team of subcontractors delivered. During each phase of the project Owner-Operator was engaged in ensuring everyone had the same expectations and outcome in mind. Project challenges were handled quickly, Feedback and Follow-Up were plentiful. Project was completed within timeframe provided for the cost quoted. The final product is both beautiful and high quality ensuring a lasting stress free backyard oasis. -A good contractor completes the job as specified for the price agreed-upon -An uncommonly good contractor helps foresee issues and challenges and recommends ways to minimize and avoid while trying to mimics additional expenses. -An exceptional contractor does both of those things while being personally invested in the subcontractors role and the project owners expectations, concerns, and satisfaction. Paul has offered outstanding service and professional expertise in our remodeling project. He has maintained a terrific team responsive to our needs. Work was on time and on budget. We are thrilled with the outcome.

Paul did an exceptional job in installing our new pool, and he completed the project in a much faster timeline than the quotes we had received from competitors. He is responsive, and he provided tailored advice throughout the process that resulted in a better design and outcome than what we had originally envisioned. We are so happy with the results and to be able to enjoy the pool during a very hot Texas summer!

Paul and his crew were amazing. Prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. We were totally pleased with him, and his company.

Our work was done in the time it was scheduled, which is worth A LOT right now. We had our deck redone as it was old and causing water issues. Paul was able to make suggestions to improve our decking and overall, our whole backyard. We have spent more time in our backyard as a family in the month that we have had it redone than we did in the last year.

Everything went good. The whole process was very organized , and was completed in a timely manner.

Remodel a Swimming Pool Great Job Great Contractor and Team Honest and Considerate

The deck around our pool dropped and cracked after we got flooded. Paul's crew came and did a great job of pouring a new deck and added additional drains to help in the Houston rainy day climate. He made sure every day that the work was being done correctly. Very happy with the results.

Tropic built our pool in 2011. They did a fabulous job with a creative design. Paul has continued to support us with any maintenance and repair needs. Pick Tropic Pools for new construction or remodeling - you will be completely satisfied.

We used Tropic to resurface our pool years ago. A neighbor of ours had theirs redone for less money. They have resurfaced theirs twice since while ours still looks great. Definitely worth the extra dollars. Owner is conscientious and hands on.

Remodel a Swimming Pool Paul's proposal was the best solution that we received for our old pool problems, especially because of his engineering background and pool design experience. Our pool remodel project was so well done, was completed on time and on budget, with a new deck, new drainage, new skimmers, new coping, tile and plaster and some new equipment. Thankfully, all of the old issues were solved, including a cracked and settling deck and pool leaks and we now enjoy a thoroughly updated pool.

Remodel a Swimming Pool Having an older pool I was needing a remodel, but wanted to stay within a certain budget. Paul was the only one out of 5 other quotes that listened to what I wanted and needed. As the remodel went along problems associated with an older pool came up; which he had told me was possible ( cracks in the pool which had started under the flagstone). He had someone there to fix it within a day and kept the cost down. He was there every day to make sure the project stayed on schedule; and to keep me updated. I would highly recommend Tropic Pools

Remodel a Swimming Pool Had a great experience with Paul Comeaux managing our pool remodeling project (new plaster, tiles, coping, water feature, spray deck and lights). Paul is easy to reach and responsive, came back with a detailed quote on short notice and started working as planned. He met us at the tile store to pick tiles and coping that matches our pool, yard and house. Some details in the tiling I was unhappy with he quickly dealt with and corrected. I liked that I could rely on his advise and completely let him manage the process, while he did keep me informed on the progress and next steps. Also, he helped me out on a weekend when the pool filter stopped working, and guided me through a fix of the old control panel. Had nothing to do with his work, but he still bailed me out which was very nice.

Remodel a Swimming Pool I contacted HA about contractors to do a pool remodel, they referred 4 companies and Tropic (Paul Comeaux) was the only one to respond. Lucky for us. Paul worked to stay within our budget, offering several options until we settled on our ultimate project. Even though our budget was far smaller than our original design Paul worked as though we were his largest customer. We saw or heard from him every day and he never promised something he didnâ t provide, even advising us on products he didnâ t install. Paul gave us a time frame for completing the job and he met it. His subcontractors were a reflection of his ethics, neat and efficient. We would gladly recommend Tropics Pools to anyone considering any kind of pool projects, large or small. He is worth every penny we took out of our 401 and worthy of our trust.

Paul came and explained how the process would be and timeline for the work. It was exactly as explained. Job was fairly priced. Very professional and nice people on the job. Very clean. We are enjoying our freshened up pool and it looks brand new.

Remodel a Swimming Pool The owner is personable and responds quickly to texts/emails. I had the pool retiled and resurfaced. His teams were efficient. Tile removal, plaster prep and tile placement took a day. 36 hours later the plaster team arrived and 6 hours later, all was done. Both crews cleaned up well after their work.

Resurface a Swimming Pool Responded quickly to the request for an estimate. Got the job done right away. Really great to work with throughout the project. Very helpful in the selection of new tile and surfacing. Also resurfaced the outdoor kitchen. Finished pool and kitchen look fabulous.
